Biography

Zeb is a true hands-on trainer when it comes to her relationship with Thoroughbreds. She has been riding and competing in equestrian events for over 30 years with her early training galloping at the track. This intimate knowledge allows her to prepare ex-race horses for competition in the most thorough way possible, producing sound and sane competition Thoroughbreds. Thoroughbred sales accomplished through Little Kentucky Farm have a high satisfaction rating within the equine community.

Owners throughout the United States send their horses to Little Kentucky Farm simply because they know they're going to get the most for their money by working with Zeb.

Immersing herself in her riding, Zeb evented up to the 2-Star level and continued racing client's horses and ponies in Point-to-Points and Steeplechases. Much of her experience working at the track, was mentoring next to some of the best trainers and jockeys both here in the U.S and abroad. At home in Georgia, she has been compiling an impressive record of sale horses and those who are in training and competition. See HORSES FOR SALE.

After acquiring her degree at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Zeb went to Ireland and worked as the Yearling and Sales Manager. She later began riding in an apprentice position where there were very few females riding in competition or as exercise riders.

Zeb married Greg Fry in 2001 and live on their private training farm in Ball Ground, Georgia. When not running his business Hip & Valley, Inc. (see www.hipandvalley.com) and building houses throughout Georgia, you can find Greg sitting on the tractor tending to the farm management.

Today Zeb continues to diligently train and sell ex-race horses as successful Eventers and show horses. Her track experience has helped her find sound and talented horses, and has built a solid reputation as being an honest and knowledgeable horsewoman.

About 48% of the farm's clientele is repeat-business. Many clients are in need of assistance in selling their Thoroughbred, or are in the market to purchase a new horse. Having built a relationship with the farm's clients, Zeb is able to fulfill their needs quickly.

A note from Zeb:

Being raised with horses all my life and while growing up, if there was a Thoroughbred who wasn't drawing in the money as a racehorse, we would transition them off the track and bring them along as a show horse. It's not as novel of an idea that some might think or want the public to believe.

I stress that owners of Thoroughbreds need to have an understanding about them and must be willing to educate themselves in order to have a positive relationship both financially and emotionally.

The simple fact that I keep in mind while selling my Thoroughbreds, is that the public wants to work with an honest person with experience, and who represents horses at their very best. There are a few bad apples out there who mislead people and the results can be a bit tragic not only for the purchaser but for the horse. If someone is interested in purchasing a horse from Little Kentucky Farm, they will experience a type of interview process. For me, reputation is everything and producing first class competition Thoroughbreds is something I'm very proud of.
